Tim Doskotch , , , Site Manager

Tim Doskotch is currently Site Manager at Northern Sun's Redstone Mill in Timmins, Ontario. Tim is a graduate from Cambrian College where he received the Canadian Scholarship for Science and Technology and graduated as an Instrumentation Technologist. Tim holds an Interprovincial Red Seal trades classification for both Instrumentation and Electrical, something few technical personnel have within the industry. Tim's years of mining and metal processing experience came partly from his 2 years spent at the Kidd Creek Metallurgical facility in Timmins. There he focused mainly on the instrumentation and control aspects of the processing facilities. He furthered his mining and metal processing experience with 3 years spent at Liberty Mines from 2010-2013. Earlier in his career, he worked with Siemens in Ottawa where he serviced clients such as Nortel Networks. From 2001-2003 he worked for Nortel Networks where he worked on Waste Water treatment systems, Toxic gas monitoring systems and Ultra-Pure Water purification plants. Tim also worked with Johnson Controls as an automation technologist from 2003-2008.

Prior to being appointed Site Manager, Tim joined Northern Sun as an Electrical/Instrumentation Leader in 2014 and has held various management positions thereafter.

Lonny Michel , , , Health and Safety Superintendent

Lonny Michel, H.B.Sc. (Kin), CRSP has 20 years experience in the health and safety field. Lonny is a Laurentian University graduate from the Kinesiology program in the School of Human Movement. He was able to apply the knowledge gained in studies to the Health and Safety Field and has worked in a variety of different sectors including municipal, construction, manufacturing, and mining. Lonny’s experience includes expertise in ergonomics, confined space, musculoskeletal disorders, safety management systems and risk analysis. Lonny obtained his Canadian Registered Safety Professional designation in 2008 and was also certified as an internal auditor for the OHSAS 18001 Safety Management System. In addition to the safety specialties, Lonny is also actively involved in the training of employees in a wide variety of subject matter. His instructional background has also led him to a teaching position with the local college, where he has been a professor for the previous 12 years. Lonny has also been involved locally in various community-based safety initiatives through WSPS and the IHSA Timmins Labour Management Committee which involved the establishment of a local safety conference as well as a mock trial with involvement of the local safe work associations and the Ministry of Labour. Lonny was born and raised in the City of Timmins and continues to live in this wonderful community with his wife and two teenage children.

Lonny joined the Northern Sun Mining Team in 2020 in the role of Health and Safety Superintendent.

Sarah Marazzo , , , Human Resources Coordinator

Sarah Marazzo has an Ontario College advanced diploma in Business Administration – Human Resources Management from Northern College in Timmins, Ontario. Originally from the north, she is pleased to have established her career in Timmins. She is an HR Professional with over 8 years’ experience working in the mining industry. She possesses experience in several aspects of human resources including: recruitment, compliance, benefits and payroll. In addition to her Human Resources role, Sarah assists with accounting, and purchasing.

Sarah joined the Northern Sun Mining team in 2014 in the role of Human Resources Coordinator.
