Mark Trevisiol , , , Site Manager

Mark Trevisiol is a professional engineer and has been in the mining & processing business for over 25 years. Most of his career was with Falconbridge Ltd (18 years). Mark joined Falconbridge in 1988 and spent most of his career in operations management having been Operating and Maintenance Superintendent of Sudbury Nickel Smelter as well as Operating Superintendent of the Kidd Creek Metallurgical Facility (Zinc Plant) in Timmins, Ontario. His last role while with Falconbridge was General Manager of the Sudbury Smelter Business Unit. Mark worked 2 years with Xstrata Nickel (2006 to 2008) as its General Manager of Business Development. Mark became President and CEO of Crowflight Minerals from 2009 to 2011, Crowflight’s main operation being a 1500 tonne per day Mine and Mill in northern Manitoba. Mark joined Silver Bear Resources in 2011 and was its President and CEO until November 2014, he is past President of Auger Resources and former director of Goldstar Minerals. He is also an associate of KCB Inc a Canadian based management consulting group. Mark has been a director on 4 public companies and holds an engineering degree from the University of Waterloo (1985). He has been Site Manager for Northern Sun Mining since 2014.

George Puvvada , , , Technical Superintendent

George Puvvada, P. Eng., PMP, Ph.D, has 25 years of industrial metallurgical experience. George graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mineral Processing from Andhra University in India and then obtained an integrated Ph. D in Extractive Metallurgy from the University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia. During his studies he worked as a Metallurgist for PEKO Gold Mines in Northern Territory of Australia. George spent 12 years in testing, developing and piloting for the recovery of gold, silver and base metals. During this time he has delivered projects for Barrick, XSTRATA, VALE and several junior mining companies. As a Metallurgist he has developed flowsheets for difficult ores. He then worked for SNC Lavalin and Cameco progressively as a design engineer, Sr. Project Engineer and Project Manager for about 12 years. During which time he designed plants for gold, nickel, copper and uranium; and delivered several brown field projects for Cameco at Rabbit Lake Mill and Port Hope Conversion Facility. Since June 2018, George has been employed as the Technical Superintendent for Northern Sun Mining overseeing all aspects of feed evaluation, metallurgical processing, lab supervision and project development.

Tim Doskotch , , , Maintenance Superintendent

Tim Doskotch is currently Maintenance Superintendent at Northern Sun's Redstone Mill in Timmins. Tim is a graduate from Cambrian College where he received the Canadian Scholarship for Science and Technology and graduated as an Instrumentation Technologist. Tim's 9 years of mining and metal processing experience came partly from his 2 years spent at the Kidd Creek Metallurgical facility in Timmins, Ontario. There he focused mainly on the instrumentation and control aspects of the processing facilities. He furthered his mining and metal processing experience with 3 years spent at Liberty Mines (2010-2013). Earlier in his career he worked with Siemens in Ottawa (1998-2001) where he serviced such clients as Nortel Networks. From 2001-2003 he worked for Nortel Networks where he worked on Waste Water treatment systems, Toxic gas monitoring systems and Ultra-Pure Water purification plants. Tim also worked with Johnson Controls as an automation technologist from 2003-2008.

Tim also holds an Interprovincial Red Seal trades classification for both Instrumentation and Electrical, something few technical personnel have within the industry. Tim joined Northern Sun as an Electrical/Instrumentation Leader and later was promoted to Supervisor and then to Superintendent.

Tim is originally from the Timmins area and has been with Northern Sun since 2014.

Todd Mathieu , , , Project Geology Technician/IT & Acting Environmental Representative

Todd Mathieu has been employed with Northern Sun Mining since March 2010. With over 25 years of technical, geological, geophysical experience, Todd has been involved in several exploration, delineation, to mining stage projects. With a strong technical background in systems analysis, data management, GIS, 3D modeling, and user/network support, Todd has gone on to support several NSM departments including Geology, Environmental, Mine Engineering, and IT Services. Todd led the discovery of the MATHU Deposit, a new Ni, Cu, Co, and TPM discovery in Groves Township in 2015/2016. Todd’s interpretation and deep VTEM targeting at the Hart Deposit in 2011 lead to the discovery of additional nickel mineralization 540 meters below surface and below/opposite a gabbroic dyke that truncated the known Hart Deposit. Todd is also credited with the discovery of the Y Vein on the Owaissa Property (Au, Ag, Co, Cu,) in 2007.

Sarah Marazzo , , , Human Resources Coordinator

Sarah Marazzo has an Ontario College advanced diploma in Business Administration – Human Resources Management from Northern College in Timmins, Ontario. Originally from the north, she is pleased to have established her career in Timmins. Sarah joined the Northern Sun Mining team in June 2014 as the Human Resources Coordinator. Since starting with Northern Sun, Sarah has developed a core understanding of Human Resources Management in the mining industry and has become proficient in implementing and adhering to government and industry standards in Human Resources policies. In addition to her Human Resources role, Sarah assists with accounting, purchasing and payroll.

Ashley Silk , , , Human Resources Coordinator

Ashley has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Laurentian University (Sudbury, Ontario) and a Bachelor of Education degree from Nipissing University (North Bay, Ontario). Ashley is currently working towards her Human Resources Management, Post Degree Certification with the aim of becoming a ‘Certified Human Resources Professional.’ Originally from the North, and a fully qualified teacher in Ontario, she is expanding her skillset in human resource management and is excited about the opportunity Northern Sun has provided. In addition to her Human Resources role, which commenced June 2018, Ashley also assists with accounting, purchasing and payroll.

Alex Blais , , , Metallurgical Process Engineer in Training

Alex has a Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering and has completed the extractive metallurgy and mineral processing option from Laurentian University in April of 2018. As part of his education, Alex completed a 16 month internship with Union Gas working under the District Engineer to provide technical support to the Northeast district. Alex joined Northern Sun Mining in April 2018 as a metallurgical process EIT. Since joining Northern Sun Mining, Alex has further developed his knowledge of mineral processing and used this knowledge to provide technical support to projects in order to reach performance goals.
