Sterling McMeekin is a highly qualified Electrical and Instrumentation Technologist who has obtained diplomas from both Cambrian College and Haileybury School of Mines. His dual trade experience and Interprovincial Red Seal trade classification in electrical is greatly valued in many industries.

Sterling has been working in the field since 2006. He began his career as an Instrumentation Technician for Xstrata Copper Canada, where he was responsible for the installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of process control equipment. From there, he moved on to Resolute Forest Products in Iroquois Falls, Ontario, as an Electrician/Instrumentation Technician.

In 2015, Sterling joined Northern Sun Mining in the role of Electrical/Instrumentation Journeyman, and was subsequently promoted to Maintenance General Foreman in 2020. His qualifications, experience and expertise make him a valuable asset to the company.
